AI salary advice is sexist. There, I said it.

Your gender bias is being magnified, and you don't even know it.

There’s a disturbing trend emerging from the latest AI bias studies.

Researchers from THWS in Germany tested multiple large language models - including ChatGPT by asking the same salary negotiation prompt for a male and a female persona with identical qualifications.

The result were shocking.

ChatGPT suggested a female candidate ask for $280K, while advising the male equivalent to request $400K -

a $120K gap, based solely on gender.

If you're using AI in talent acquisition, then you're to blame too, not just your AI system.

When systems advise low expectations for women-

it reinforces bias before your conversations even begin.

It obscures voice...

the humanity you rely on in

↳ performance conversations
↳ strategic reviews
↳ and leadership development.

And don't even get me started on the new emerging companies that target young job seekers to

"instantly apply for 100s of jobs using AI".

I'm not anti-AI.

I'm anti-blind faith in AI.

I'll tell you why...

You've heard of the Gender Pay Gap, The Female Leadership Gap etc.

Your AI systems can be used to identify the gaps in THOSE issues.

But it cannot detect what I call The Gender Perception Gap.

Because you need human empathy, emotional intelligence, lived experience to identify this cause of gender bias.

Have you ever considered the risks associated with using AI in the workplace?
