Have the courage to step outside your comfort zone! If we have defined a specific career goal it is perfectly natural to fear failure.
We tend to justify inactivity with thoughts like, "I may not be super successful or extremely happy in my current role but at least I'm comfortable in my own little bubble. I know I want to stretch myself and reach that new career objective, but it's a bit scary and I might not make it happen. What will I do if I fail? I think it's safer to stay put - at least it's comfortable in here."
The important thing for all of us is how we respond to these feelings. You can either accept them, stay in your comfort zone and live with regret or you can counter them by getting on and making it happen.
